About Us

With an unparalleled ability to transform landscape problems into solutions, Malone Johnson Landscape Design is a one-of-a-kind landscape, garden and outdoor living company with a heart.

Laurie Ann Malone began as "The Cottage Garden," a fresh-cut flower service, in 2003. Her first customer wanted a new garden, and the rest is history.  In addition to garden design, Laurie Ann's work includes beautiful glass terrariums and potted gardens.

Aaron Johnson has spent a lifetime studying and growing plants. His uncanny understanding of all things botanical is underscored by the fact that he is the great, great, great grandnephew of one of the most important people in the history of horticulture, Luther Burbank  www.lutherburbank.org  From an early age, when he planted popcorn and mustard seeds out of his mother's spice cabinet in Limington, Maine, Aaron has been able to make things grow. And he is a gifted visionary and artist. As head designer and leader of his team, Aaron Johnson has a growing reputation for strong, unique design versatility and elegance, as well as consistantly outstanding craftsmanship. He is a true artisan, employing both age-old methods and modern technology. His work is often featured in garden tours. It continues to be increasingly recognized and sought after, as it grows and evolves, revealing the genious behind it as only a living work of art can.
